Professor Hugo Christenson

Hugo Christenson is Professor of Crystallisation Physics and has an undergraduate degree from Stockholm University, an MSc from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a PhD from the Australian National University in Canberra. His earlier research in surface science has inspired recent work on crystal nucleation on surfaces, particularly concerning the influence of confinement and topography. Another current interest is ice nucleation from water vapour and liquid water. He has newly accepted the responsibility of being convenor of the MSc in Physics course, and is also Examinations Officer, Academic Integrity Officer and Third-year BSc Convenor. Among his teaching responsibilities are Vibrations and Waves in year one and second-year Statistical Mechanics.
