The Soft Matter Research Group, School of Physics and Astronomy, are delighted to present this year's Ian Ward Lecture, by Professor Dame Julia Higgins, DBE FRS FREng.

In the laboratory, physicists can create atomic nuclei which we haven't otherwise observed in nature, challenging our understanding of the fundamental fabric of the universe.

Professor Marie Pierre Laborie, of Biobased Materials, Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany, will be presenting a seminar on her research. All are welcome to attend.
