Frances Singer

Frances graduated from the University of York with a 1st class MChem degree in 2015. Her masters research project was carried out under the supervision of Dr John Slattery on the synthesis of tungsten complexes as mimics for the enzyme acetylene hydratase. She is currently working on a PhD in organometallic chemistry in the Willans group. Her project looks at various aspects of N-Heterocyclic Carbene chemistry including: reactivity and mechanism, catalysis, and electrochemical synthesis. She is funded by the EPSRC.
