This bursary is for you if you’re a former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification. Courses that are run in conjunction with other universities are excluded from the bursary.

  • Value - what money is on offer

    The University will pay 10% of the self-funded portion your fees for each year of the course. If no fees are paid then no bursary is awarded.

  • Who is eligible

    This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you’re a former student of the University of Leeds.

  • How to apply

    If you think you’re eligible, you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for.

  • Deadline

    No deadline – automatic.

  • Conditions

    You must be a former University of Leeds student.

The Head of School International Masters Excellence scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved 1st class or equivalent in their undergraduate degree. You’re eligible if you’re an international applicant who has been offered a place on a Masters course within the Schools of Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry or Mathematics.

    You’re eligible if you’re an international applicant who has been offered a place on a Masters course within the Schools of Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry or Mathematics.

  • Conditions

    You must be self-funding, full time, classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not in receipt of other Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences award.
