2019-20

This bursary is for you if you’re a former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification. Courses that are run in conjunction with other universities are excluded from the bursary.

  • Value - what money is on offer

    The University will pay 10% of the self-funded portion your fees for each year of the course. If no fees are paid then no bursary is awarded.

  • Who is eligible

    This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you’re a former student of the University of Leeds.

  • How to apply

    If you think you’re eligible, you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for.

  • Deadline

    No deadline – automatic.

  • Conditions

    You must be a former University of Leeds student.

This scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence and/or professional experience and available to you if you intend to enrol on the Polymers, Colorants and Fine Chemicals masters course at the University of Leeds.

    Fees and up to £750 maintenance.

  • Who is eligible

    You must be self-funding, full time, classified as UK/EU for tuition fee purposes and not in receipt of other Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences award. Only available to students on our Polymers, Colorants and Fine Chemicals MSc.

 The aim of the scholarship is to encourage students from under-represented groups to embark on a postgraduate qualification. A postgraduate qualification will help set you apart and help you take advantage of potential career opportunities.

The Scholarships are funded by the generous donations from our alumni through the University of Leeds Footsteps Fund.

    £5,000 paid in cash instalments when you are registered on your course (and we have verified this).

    To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships you must meet all of the main criteria and one of the financial criteria.

The Head of School Excellence scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved 1st class or equivalent in their undergraduate degree.

  • Who is eligible

    You’re eligible if you’re an international applicant who has been offered a place on a Masters course.

  • Deadline

    No deadline - automatic.

  • Conditions

    You must be self-funding, full time, classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not in receipt of other Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences award.
